Quality impeller designAluminium spinnings and pressings in a natural finish, together with steel hubs which are suitably zinc plated and dynamically balanced to Grade G6.3 for maximum efficiency.
Installer friendly simplicityAll motors are pre-wired to an integral IP55 terminal box so they are ready for customer installation.
Material strengthMultiflow SMB mixed flow fans have a robust casing design for added strength and durability. Casings are manufactured in pre-galvanised sheet steel which is suitably stiffened, with all motor supports hot dipped galvanised to BS 729 after manufacture.
DistinctiveThe unique design of Multiflow SMB fans enables the required performance to be attained from a smaller fan size than is normally achievable with typical conical style, fixed blade mixed flow fans.
Outstanding performanceMixed flow “non stall” airflow properties and a non overloading absorbed power curve allow a wide range of operating performance to be achieved.
CasingThe all metal casing shall be manufactured using pre-galvanised sheet steel suitably stiffened. Casings shall incorporate Ductmate flange connections at each end. Motor supports shall be of steel sheet construction, hot-dip galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461:2009 after manufacture and shall have an aerodynamic profile.
MotorsThe single range of units have an AC external rotor motor fitted as standard. The motor contains sealed for life bearings. Thermal Class of motors to THCL 130 or 155 dependent on size. Manufactured by Ziehl-Abegg providing increased reliability All motors are suitable for use in ambient air conditions up to +60°C. Electrical connection shall be via an IP55 terminal box mounted on the side for easy customer connection.
ImpellersImpellers shall be single inlet mixed flow type. Manufactured in a highly complex one-shot injection moulding process without any welded seams for maximum process reliability. Impellers are to be dynamically balanced to ISO 14694 Grade G6.3 and directly driven by the motor to provide a smooth airflow through the unit.
Quality ManagementUnits are to be designed and manufactured with procedures as defined in BS EN ISO 9001:2008. All SMB units are to be tested to ISO 5801:2007 (airside performance) and BS 848 Part 2:1985 (sound performance).
