• Cargo & container holds

With our capability of building diverse, bespoke fans, we are able to meet the differing demands of the overall cargo hold ventilation system in order to ensure efficient ventilation and good environmental care for both cargo and crew.

When carrying perishable goods on sea, it is essential that the ventilation system provides adequate temperature control in the holds and replacement air to reduce and remove CO2, vitiated air and other gases.

Within refrigerated holds, our fans are used to lift heat from cargo through circulation before transferring it to a refrigerating or heat-absorbing surface. We can provide axial fans that are suitable for high speed jets or for the movement of large volumes of air at low velocities.

Our fans are suitable for operating temperatures down to -40°C for the transportation of frozen food and can be built to incorporate heating coils around the fan casing to prevent ice forming on the impeller.
