• Boiler Rooms

Depending on whether you are heating for private housing or a public building, boilers will differ enormously in their physical size and capacity, but are all required to heat water, steam or air in a central location, ranging from smaller boiler rooms for domestic applications to large mechanical rooms for bigger public buildings.

The air changes per hour are significantly higher than most other building services applications, so, with the excessive heat generated from boiler rooms, this needs to be ventilated so the heat is effectively dissipated.

It is important to consider the requirement for a permanent source of outside air being provided for each boiler room, so as to allow satisfactory combustion of the fuel, as well as suitable ventilation of the boiler room under its normal operating conditions.

Elta Fans provide a wide range of ventilation products for boiler room applications, ensuring adequate ventilation is provided to relieve the boiler room of higher temperatures, in particular, Bifurcated axial tans suitable for ambient operating temperatures of up to 200°C which can not only overcome excessive heat, but potentially steam too.

In addition, run and standby twin tans are recommended, as a potential fan failure could in tum mean boiler ancillaries could overheat, with the consequent effect of a heating failure to the whole building.
