Elta Fans has announced a strategic alliance with Ziehl-Abegg to use the KÌÄå_nzelsau based company's motors and impellers as part of a commitment from Elta to meet the new energy and climate change legislation being introduced throughout Europe.

Ventilation specialist Elta Fans is continuing in its planned strategic growth with the announcement of the appointment of Hotchkiss Air Supply (HAS) as part of its network of distributors.

Two air handling units supplied by Fastlane Ventilation and two units by Elta Fans have been installed in a new dental facility at Dunbar Hospital in Thurso, Caithness in the Northern Highlands of Scotland. The two Elta Group companies collaborated on the NHS project in order to meet the unit's requirements as closely as possible and secured the order on the basis of price and service. The dental clinic is due to open later this year and should cater for around 6,000 patients. The new facility, built at a cost of around £1.3 million, will house dentists and hygienists whose turnover will mostly be generated by the provision of NHS services. The scheme was part of a £5.6 million injection to improve NHS provision in Thurso, Dingwall, Oban and Campbeltown.

Elta Fans have supplied specialist fans for the road tunnel being built as part of a new bypass for the A3 in Surrey. The trunk road is the major highway between London and Portsmouth on England's south coast, previously climbing around the side of the Devil's Punch Bowl, the large natural amphitheatre, landmark and beauty spot near the village of Hindhead. It is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and designated part of a Special Protection Area. The new tunnel, which is a total of 1.2 miles long, is the longest non-estuarial tunnel in the United Kingdom. The maximum depth below ground, measured to the top of the tunnel, is about 200ft.

Here's hoping that 8 September might be a red letter day for Elta as the Group has made it through to the shortlist of companies in the final of the 2011 'Private Business Awards'.

Fan specialists Elta continue their extensive involvement in the education sector of the construction industry following the completion of a contract to supply fans from their Quietflow Box Fan range as part of an ongoing redevelopment of a comprehensive school in Derbyshire.
